It’s an amazing educational opportunity for all ages!
What is RiverClassroom? RiverClassroom programs are a hands-on outdoor environmental educational experience developed by the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, and now done in collaboration with Mystic Aquarium educators. In addition, programs can be specialized according to teacher’s requests and grade level needs. This very popular program takes place aboard the Coast Guard certified Explorer riverboat and gets students engaged with the surroundings that many have yet to discover.
Blackstone Valley Tourism Council is a member of the Rhode Island Environmental Education Association and our RiverClassroom programs are designed to to include STEM practices, Next Generation Science Standards, and Environmental Literacy.
