Yes, sales are final. Sorry, there are no refunds or exchanges.
There are no refunds or exchanges if you miss the train. Please plan accordingly and allow enough time for travel.
If you cannot make the train, you can sell/give your tickets to another party via your ETix account.

If looking for your tickets after purchase, search "eTix" or "Blackstone Valley Polar Express" to find them in your email. Also check your promotions/junk folder as they can sometimes land there depending on a person's email settings.
Though it is preferred you have your tickets printed or on your phone and ready to be scanned beforehand to move you in as quickly as possible, there is no need to worry about getting into the event as we have a back up manifest available at the ticket booth.

Transferring your tickets with ETix is simple and easy.
To access your account follow these steps:
1. CLICK HERE to go to the ETix Account Manager page
2. Enter your username and password. (In most cases, your username is the email you used to purchase the tickets.)
○ If you forgot your password, click “Having trouble logging in?” which is in blue to the right of the password box.3. If you have never set up an account before click “Having trouble logging in?” which is in blue to the right of the password box.
4. After clicking “Having trouble logging in?” you will see two headers, Forgot your password? and First time logging in? (Use which one applies to you.)
5. Enter the email address you used to purchase the tickets ○ Once you click “Reset Password” or "Send Password" you will be sent password reset or a temporary password with instructions via email. This password will expire in 10 minutes. You’ll now be able to login to your account.
6. From your Account Manager you can:
○ View Upcoming Tickets,
○ Print Tickets,
○ View Past Tickets,
○ View All Orders,
○ Make Payment For Reserved Tickets (where applicable),
○ Exchange Tickets (where applicable),
○ Forward Tickets to a Friend (where applicable) -
Plan to arrive early for the fun, entertainment, gift shops, and stage show in our outdoor Christmas Village!
The gate opens approximately 1 hour before the time on your ticket - i.e. 2:30 PM for 3:30 shows or 5:30 PM for 6:30 shows
Our stage show starts at the time on your ticket.
Train boarding begins approximately 15 minutes after the time on your ticket.
The train departs promptly at the top of the hour.
Please allow sufficient time for travel so that you're not late. We cannot hold the train and tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Yes, we have a handicapped ramp for non-motorized wheelchairs and handicap seating available in our COMET car only.
Family members are encouraged to purchase tickets in the vicinity of the handicapped seats.
Seats 3, 4, 7, and 8 are next to the handicapped seats. Seats 9 and 10 are in front of the handicapped seats.The Blackstone Valley Polar Express uses vintage train cars. Doors entering the cars and aisles are 20" wide, so a wheelchair must be able to fit through that space. We do have a wheelchair that is train accessible if the passenger is able to transfer from his/her personal wheelchair for the ride.

Yes, a custom Blackstone Valley Polar Express die-cut golden ticket will be given to every passenger as they board the train.

Tickets include a stage show and a super-fun close interactive experience on a full-sized train with storytelling, sing-a-longs, games, and more! Plus, complimentary photo opportunities with the characters, a cookie, hot chocolate, songbook, golden ticket, and silver bell to every child.

Restrooms are available at the end of The Christmas Village. There are also restrooms available on the train.

No. If you make the choice to not attend because of weather, tickets are transferable and can be sold/given to another party. Sorry, there are no refunds or exchanges.

No, it is a 45 minute train ride to view the North Pole and then a 45 minute ride to return to the depot with a show going on inside the train cars during the trip.

Yes, both children and adults are encouraged to wear pajamas, but please keep in mind that activities and boarding will take place outside of the depot in our Christmas Village.

It's a 3 hours immersive experience that includes a 90-minute excursion on a real-life train! Doors open 30 minutes before your ticketed time for fantastic photo opportunities in front of our custom-made Polar Express backdrops with the characters of our show, kids' activities, and our official Polar Express gift shop. The show starts at your ticketed time and train boarding begins 15 minutes after the show begins. Plus, after the train returns to the depot you'll be able to take a complimentary photo with Santa.

Yes, we offer a discount of $10.00 per ticket for groups of 20 or more.

All ages are welcome on the train, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

We offer tickets for children ages 13 months - 12 years at a small discount.
The exception to this is in our "Prancer" car, which is sold exclusively by the seat as tables of 4 (i.e. there is a single price and not different prices for Adult seats or Child seats)
Lapsit tickets for infants ages 0 months - 12 months can be purchased with an adult ticket for a small upcharge.
Note: lapsit child does not receive hot chocolate and cookie. -
Yes, the train is heated. If you are not comfortable with the temperature in the train car please let a chef know. We'll do the best we can to make sure everyone is happy with the temperature.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK WILL BE ALLOWED to be brought on the train.

No, the train does not make any stops that would allow for passengers to get off the train during the performance.

Yes, we have a gift shop at the depot that's open during our rides with lots of official POLAR EXPRESS™ items for sale. We accept cash and all major credit cards.
Items can also be purchased online under the Gift Shop tab.

It's not recommended to walk around the train from car to car while it's in motion. Everyone has assigned seats on the train. You are free to use the restroom, but we ask that you return back to your seat as soon as possible.

Yes, we have a photographer on most trips that follows the event around. Selection of these photos are posted on our Facebook page. The purchase of your tickets allows the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council full usage of any photos that you and/or your family may appear in.

Yes, pictures are strongly encouraged (use #BVPolarExpress when posting online)
We do not charge for any pictures.

Due to close confinement, pets are not allowed. Service animals are allowed if proper documentation is provided at the ticket booth.

Yes, each train car has its own presenter reading THE POLAR EXPRESS™ and leading the performance during your trip.

By using this ticket, the Passenger agrees (for himself/herself or his/her successors, heirs, executors, administrators, agent, contractors or other persons claiming through him/her):
- To hold harmless, release, waive, and indemnify the The Genesee & Wyoming Railroad, its predecessors, parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, officers, and employees (collectively, the "Railroad") from any and all injuries, liabilities or damages from participation in the trip, including but not limited to those occasioned in whole or in part by any act or omission of the Passenger; or whether or not it is contended that the Railroad contributed thereto in whole or in part; or whether the Railroad was responsible by reason of non-delegable duty; and
- To accept the dangers associated with being on Railroad's property of tracks and aboard Polar Express passenger trains; passengers and property are in danger of possible injury, death or destruction incident to freight operations or other operations of the Railroad, whether by Railroad or other; and
Passenger agrees that by purchasing and using the ticket, he/she:
- shall comply with all stated and customary terms, posted safety signs, rules, and/or verbal instructions given before, during or after the trip; and
- has read the above paragraphs / provisions and hereby knowingly and freely asserts that said participation in the trip is voluntary and assumes all risks of any injury to mind and body whatsoever arising out of, during, or in connection with participation or attempted participation in the trip, even if arising out of or in connection with any negligence of the Railroad.
