Since 1993, hundreds of thousands of passengers have come on our boat tours to learn and discover interesting facts about Rhode Island’s Blackstone Valley, and see the quiet beauty many are often surprised to find!
Our well-informed guides can’t wait to welcome you aboard to share the history, ecology, and beauty of the region! We even provide binoculars for you to use during your trip!!!

Nature and Heritage River Tours are great for the entire family!
River tours are fun for all ages. We offer special themed cruises a couple times a month, featuring guest speakers, singers or specialized experiences. For every tour, you can expect to enjoy the peace and revitalized beauty of the Blackstone River as it is best seen… from the river itself!

Tours run Sunday afternoons from May 10th through October 25th
Trips depart at 1 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM and 4 PM.
The Explorer is Coast Guard Certified
All tours operate rain or shine, and are subject to river conditions and speed of water flow. Schedule is subject to change

First - enjoy a 90-minute kayak paddle on the Blackstone, learning basic boat safety and kayak paddling while peacefully experiencing the wildlife and river from water level.

No Show No Call Policy:
We require a deposit of $150 at the time of booking a tour in the form of cash, check, or charge to a card. This deposit is applied to the total cost of the program. If your group is a no show/no call, this deposit is forfeit. A new deposit will be necesary to book a new trip. If we are notified of a cancelation, or for some reason BVTC must cancel the trip, your deposit will be refunded or can be applied to a new booking date.
